Kinston, N.C. — Three people were killed when a van wrecked along U.S. Highway 258 about 13 miles south of Kinston on Saturday night.

The van carrying nine people ran off the road while traveling north on U.S. 258 South at Noble Mill Road around 10:30 p.m., said Roger Dail, the director of Lenoir County Emergency Medical Services.

The van landed on its side, and six people were ejected from the vehicle, Dail said.
